A time was had last Sunday, okay!?!
Thank you to everyone who pulled up, enjoyed brunch, drank mimosas and cocktails, bobbed that back down, and just had a darn good time!
As promised, here are the wine cocktails that were featured during brunch:
Seco + V (Prosecco, Vodka topper, and a twist of lime) - An ode to my blog post about the beloved cocktail that Issa Rae’s character on Insecure loved.
Seco + B (Prosecco, Whiskey, and a twist of orange) - An ode to my blog post about the beloved cocktail that Issa Rae’s character on Insecure loved.
NYC x ATL Sour (Whiskey, peach liqueur, Cabernet Sauvignon, Simple Syrup, and lemon juice) – This was a bit of a wild card, but inspired by a story I wrote for VinePair last year.
Hennessy Sangria – An ode to my very first beverage byline that was originally published in VinePair in 2016.
Shout-out to the entire Tribe Supper Club team and the homie Adam for collaborating with me on this. (We did it, Joe!) Definitely keep your eyes peeled for more events like these.
WHAT I’M SIPPIN’ ON
I just spent 36 hours in wine country, and had a chance to finally visit Tank Garage Winery!
I was introduced to Tank back in 2020, and quickly fell in love with their wines and the artistic approach they took to their labels.
In the same year, I wrote this story for Food & Wine profiling the winery, and continued to follow their journey via Instagram.
So when I learned that Tank was only a short bike ride from my hotel, I couldn’t resist pulling up with my friends and enjoying a tasting.
Our host Bailey was super knowledgeable and even let us taste a few wines that weren’t on the tasting menu. Overall, I loved sharing this experience with my friends and even more just ENJOYING the tasting and not being in work mode.
Their labels are so much fun!
And there you have it! I’m taking a break next week but I’ll be back in your inbox on the 30th.
If you celebrate the holiday, enjoy the good food and fellowship with your friends and loved ones. And if you don’t, then enjoy a day of rest. We all have a ton to be grateful for.
Blessings on blessings!
