Welcome to another Thursday and a brand new month! I hope that November brings ease, rest, and joy to us all.
Since I’m new to Substack and haven’t explored its amazing gadgets and gizmos a plenty, I’m going to keep this short and sweet–but moving forward, I’ll be diving into different themes and topics, and answering your questions along the way.
So keep scrolling for the usual juice, and I’ll meet you back here next week!
NEW-ish WORK
For the last few months, I’ve been partnering with SALDO Wines (owned by The Prisoner Wine Company) to help elevate their various wines. In my latest pulse, I put a spotlight on their Wine Collective, which includes four really yummy varietals, and how they pair with iconic Chicago foods.

WINE NEWS YOU CAN USE
La Fete Wine Company (which is known for its Rosé and Blanc wines) just announced they are releasing a French red called La Fete du Rouge. #TheNewFrench
Congratulations to the 2023 Wine Industry Leaders named by WineBusiness Monthly!
If you’re a fan of Ms. Donna Kelce (or either of her sons), then you’ll be pleased to know she has just launched a campaign with Barefoot Wine.
I can confirm that wine and cider are indeed a beautiful combination.
With the holidays around the corner, here’s how to pair wine with pie.
I truly believe certain things should be left untouched, but go off in the name of history though.
CATCH ME OUTSIDE
Never thought I’d be on a brunch flyer, but here we are! 😂
On Sunday, November 12, I’m hosting a wine brunch at The Tribe Supper Club in West Loop. There will be wine cocktails (curated by your girl), bottomless mimosas, live music, brunch plates, and all the vibes.
Click here to get your tickets, and I can’t wait to see you there!
WHAT I’M SIPPIN’ ON
It’s Thursday and TBH, it has been somewhat of a week. And while it was pretty and bright sunny in Chicago today, I’m officially locking into red wines.
This 2019 Petit Sirah by Tres Sabores hails from the Calistoga AVA – which is within the northern part of Napa Valley. I opened this bottle because I’m heading to the region in two weeks for a wedding, and wanted to get a taste of the region before I arrive.
In the glass, it’s a beautiful deep purple, and the legs move with ease. On the palate, there are gentle tannins with notes of BLACK fruit like blackberry, bramble, and black cherries, as well as forest floor, cocoa, and black licorice. I would call this a Thanksgiving wine, but honey, you can enjoy this all autumn long.
Are there any wines you’d like for me to review? Send me a note to put the ones you’re curious about on my radar!
Until next week, I’ll holla!
